This is a guest post from Jawad Masood. He loves technology and writes about it at HardwareInsight.

Dell has released their new convertible rugged tablet, the Latitude XT2 XFR. It is the rugged version of its predecessor Latitude XT2 Laptop. First thing that you should note is that it’s too expensive. Consider the specs below:
Technical Specs:
- LED backlit multi-touch screen
- Intel Core 2 Duo SU9600 1.60GHz processor
- 5GB DDR3 RAM
- Thickness 1.5″
- SSD or standard hard drive.
- Operating Temperature -10 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
- GPS
- 3G modem
- Webcam
- Bluetooth
- Wi-Fi b/g/n
- battery: Option of 4,6 and 9 cells
Only if you’re planning to take it while you’re on an adventure you should spend $3600 on it. Otherwise I think it’s a waste of money. Still there are Tech People like me out there who really want to have this product to show off to their friends ![]()

No commentsDatel Battery Unlocks the PSP 3000
The latest PSP 3000 is a gadget lover’s dream. From remote connectivity
with the PS3 console to web browsing to multimedia playback, there is
nothing that the svelte handheld game system can’t do. It seems that the
only thing that the latest revision lacks is the ability to play homebrew
programs, emulators and applications. That is because Sony implemented
some very strong hardware encryption on the latest model that locks out
hackers and makes it almost impossible to run unsigned applications on the
device.
The homebrew gaming community got a boost this month, however, when
British accessory maker Datel announced that it has finally cracked the
PSP 3000. The company’s new Lite Blue Tool service battery promises to unlock the full potential of the PSP an allow users to downgrade and install custom firmware. Custom firmware is needed to run unofficial homebrew applications such as the Super Nintendo and Genesis emulators.
Right now the device is still being tested, but the company promises that
a consumer version will be ready sometime later in January 2009. After
that point, you should be able to buy the Datel battery from your favorite online or offline electronics retailer.
Site tip

The broader spectrum of topics cover headsets, gaming consoles, phones, laptops, ipods and other media players.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do ![]()
Psystar cracked open!

Apparentely one of Gizmodos readers sent in some photos of his newly bought Psystar machine (the none Apple computer that runs OSX Leopard). It’s also reveiled that it’s true that a proud owner of Psystar won’t be able to reinstall the OS since the package only came with a retail version.

No commentsYet another video watch
Was looking around on the net this morning, and stumbled upon yet another Mp4 watch. I’ve always questioned the desire to have one of these… I really don’t get it. I mean if you want to watch a movie you’d want the biggest screen possible, not the smallest. You might argue that you want it to be portable, but there are numerous products out there that offer a better video experience (among them iPod touch, which is my personal favorite). I think the wish to have a video watch is connected to the premature desires of being a secret agent or a member of Star Trek. That’s probably why the video wath concept feels so geeky. Anyway here are some of the specs for this product:
- Memory 4 GB
- OLED 1.5″
- 160 x 128 OLED
- 38 x 40 x 13 mm
If you want to read more specs, visit this site… www.chinavision.com
I guess this watch looks decent considering the geeky feeling I get from it but the OLED watch I mentioned in a previous post looks better.
No commentsThe beautiful SanDisk Sansa Express
This beauty is a budget MP3-player and it has all the features one could anticipate from a model in that price range. It actually has some extra features which gives the model the edge against the competition. One being the MicroSD slot.
The model seems easy enough for any beginner. So it should fit me perfectly since I tend to be to lazy for too advanced products. I’ve been on the lookout for a new MP3 player ever since my iPod 20 GB broke after I dropped it on the ground one too many of times. This could be a suitable candidate. But I must confess that I’m a bit in love with iPod and the whole Apple concept. Choosing a product from another brand when there’s one available from Apple feels a bit like cheating on my love. Don’t get me wrong I don’t always select Apple products. I guess I’m not the faithful kind.
Here’s some small facts about this model:
- 1GB and 2GB Capacities
- microSD Slot for up to 2GB
- MP3, WMA, WMA-DRM, WAV, and Audio Support
- Voice Recording, FM Recording
- 4-Line 2 Color OLED Screen
- 15 Hour Battery Life
- Subscription Music Support
- MTP/MSC OS Selectable
Anyway if you want to read more about the model check out anythingbutipod.com and their review of the SanDisk Sansa Express. They have a bunch of pictures and a videoclip where they show the model. Anythingbutipod.com is a great site if you’re looking for just that… anything but an ipod.
No commentsFlash based video iPod

Apparently the flash based video iPod has been put on ice and won’t come this year. It’s no secret that Apple has been exploring the possibility of making a flash memory video iPod, put the exact time table is not set. Some rumors has leaked out from Taiwanese memory manufacturers and consumers are getting impatient.
No commentsIntel mobile Metro notebook

Found this product on Business Week. This Intel laptop is simply beautiful. I use Mac mostly and I rarely see PCs that I think has an appealing design. But this model is damn nice. Apparently Intel only had a few instructions for the designers. “The machine has to be fashionable, able to connect to all manner of wireless networks, and full of the latest, fastest computing capabilities. Oh yes, and make it as thin as Motorola’s Razr.”
The model is the world thinnest laptop. It’s 0.7 inches thick and weights 2.25 pounds. Should be pretty impressive for most consumers. If I wasn’t such a Mac freek I probably would have been drooling over this model.

One of the world most expensive keyboards

Optimus Maximus has generated alot of comments and articles and it’s now possible to pre-order the keyboard model. The ground breaking thing about this keyboard is that every key is a OLED-display. The user can choose what to display on each button and what the key function is. This makes it easy to create shortcut keys to your favorite applications. The keyboard has 103 keys and costs approximately 1260 euro or 1565 US$.
