The successor of  S6500fd is here… the S8000fd. The new model has 8 megapixels instead of 6 and has better light sensitivity than the competitors. It can capture an astounding 6400 ISO and it has a fantastic 18x zoom.

Amongst other nice features it has:

A Cam made for the net

Sony will release a new camera which is made for Net-sharing. I especially like its looks but it seems like the model packs a couple of nice features. It targets social networkers and video bloggers as well as other people with the need to upload videos on a daily basis. The rumoured price for the model is $200. And it will be available on July 19 but you can pre-order online. For more info check out Ubergizmo and their post about the Net-sharing CAM.

The beautiful SanDisk Sansa Express

This beauty is a budget MP3-player and it has all the features one could anticipate from a model in that price range. It actually has some extra features which gives the model the edge against the competition. One being the MicroSD slot.

The model seems easy enough for any beginner. So it should fit me perfectly since I tend to be to lazy for too advanced products. I’ve been on the lookout for a new MP3 player ever since my iPod 20 GB broke after I dropped it on the ground one too many of times. This could be a suitable candidate. But I must confess that I’m a bit in love with iPod and the whole Apple concept. Choosing a product from another brand when there’s one available from Apple feels a bit like cheating on my love. Don’t get me wrong I don’t always select Apple products. I guess I’m not the faithful kind.

Here’s some small facts about this model:

  • 1GB and 2GB Capacities
  • microSD Slot for up to 2GB
  • MP3, WMA, WMA-DRM, WAV, and Audio Support
  • Voice Recording, FM Recording
  • 4-Line 2 Color OLED Screen
  • 15 Hour Battery Life
  • Subscription Music Support
  • MTP/MSC OS Selectable

Anyway if you want to read more about the model check out anythingbutipod.com and their review of the SanDisk Sansa Express. They have a bunch of pictures and a videoclip where they show the model. Anythingbutipod.com is a great site if you’re looking for just that… anything but an ipod.

Sagem my850v

Found this cool Mobile phone on Shiny Shiny. The model is a mobile TV phone with QVGA screen displaying TV, video conferencing and it displays movies in 262,000 colours.

Shiny Shiny had some positive comments about the model: “…the my805v offers literally every phone function I can think of. As well as TV through Vodaphone’s live TV service, the phone has a 2 mega pixel camera for stills, VGA camera for video recording and conferencing, built-in MP3 player, internet browsing, gaming, Bluetooth, and 16MB of memory built in with a microSD card slot for more. The mirrored front screen displays caller ID, track playing, message indicator and time, and the whole lot is packed into a shiny blue wonder of technology that, at least on paper, is all you’ll ever need.”
